Privacy Policy

RimaPlay Pty Ltd ("RimaPlay", "we", "us") operates a marketplace connecting adult athletes with sports coaches in Australia. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email, password (hashed), account type
- Profile information: photo, bio, suburb, date of birth, sports and skill levels
- Parent/guardian child profiles: child name, age, sport preferences
- Technical data: device type, app version, IP address (for security and rate limiting)
- Pre-launch waitlist: if you join our waitlist before the app launches, we collect your email, suburb and sport preferences, and role-specific details you provide. This information is stored until launch or until you ask us to delete it.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To match athletes with coaches (in future releases)
- To communicate about your account, bookings, and safety
- To comply with legal obligations including child safety requirements
Data storage and security
Data is stored using Supabase (PostgreSQL and object storage) in the Asia-Pacific region. All API and web traffic is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel.
Account deletion
You may delete your account from the app Settings screen. Deletion is immediate: your profile and login are removed right away. All upcoming bookings you are part of are cancelled automatically. Past completed sessions may remain in de-identified form for the other participant's records and for legal compliance.
Your rights
You may request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting privacy@rimaplay.com. If you believe we have breached the APPs, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
